Put a little “Spring” in your water system.
Does your water system smell funky after the winter or after using it? Many things can trigger that funky smell in your water – algae and bacteria can grow in your holding tanks and lines if water sits in them for too long. If you use antifreeze to winterize your unit, you can get some residual odors from the antifreeze. But one of the biggest contributors to funky smelling water is actually well water! If you stayed at a campground that has well water, you can get some very interesting (or not) smells coming out of your fresh water system, and really the only way to get it out of there is to do a complete system flush.
If you feel that you have algae and bacteria buildup, we recommend a two-part product that will sanitize the lines first, and then the second part will freshen them. This is especially good to do if your unit has been sitting for a while and you suspect that there was water left in it.
If you just want a refresh, we recommend Thetford Spring Fresh, one gallon will do between 1 – 4 treatments. It is as simple as filling up your fresh tanks, adding the spring fresh and flushing it out until no longer foamy!
We carry both products in stock and would love to show you some other options to get your RV Ready for Spring!
